Last week we had the pleasure to be part of the 4th Annual Service World Expo event, at Paris Hotel, Las Vegas.
The event took place from October 16 to 18 but we landed in Las Vegas on Sunday night, October 13, so we had a couple of days before the event to explore the city and what it has to offer. It’s all about the places, don’t get too far in your imagination 🙂
It took us almost 3 days to walk the Strip, all the way from The Gold & Silver Pawn Shop to the Stratosphere Hotel, Wynn, Caesars Palace, the beautiful Bellagio, Paris, New York, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, the Welcome to Las Vegas sign and the Shelby Museum. Yes, we walked a lot!
We also had the chance to visit the Mob Museum, courtesy of Service World Expo and their sponsors and also took the opportunity to visit the interesting Fremont Street, which is in close proximity. It was a great, unique experience!
About SWE
Held for 4 years in a row in Las Vegas, Service World Expo is the self-titled “#1 event for HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Remodeling contractors”. The annual event reached its 4th edition this year, reuniting 1900 attendees with 184 exhibitors in a perfectly organized, 3-day event. SWE reunites residential contractors experts in the HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical industries and wants to be the place where home service professionals can meet, learn and get inspired so they can grow their service businesses.
FieldVibe at Service World Expo 2019
At FieldVibe we are passionate about helping small contractor businesses grow by helping them schedule their field service jobs and dispatch them in real-time to their field technicians, so this event fit us like a glove. We loved the vibe, the presentations, the way the event was structured and organized, the venue (of course) and the exhibitors’ hall, but most of all we love the people! We had the chance to meet wonderful people, from field technicians, contractors and field service management software providers to HVAC and plumbing tools and chemical manufacturers, all involved in one way or another in the home services industry.
We represented the Field Service Management industry at this event, talking with our booth visitors about the scheduling and dispatching software and tools they use to manage their field technicians and how FieldVibe – Scheduling & Dispatching made simple can help their contractor business grow.
We had some awesome neighbors too. From left to right, Dan and Scott from Highside Chemicals, our booth for FieldVibe, Jimmy from Revi Wear and Brennan from PipeVise.
Why home service business owners should attend SWE
Talking with some of the participants a few common things emerged from the discussions
The community
The Service World Expo community is one of the best out there! All the guys and gals that come to the event are professionals in what they do and are ready to share from their knowledge and expertise.
The exhibitors
The vendors at the Service World Expo are top in class and come with real solutions for the contracting industry. They are ready to consult you on the spot and offer great prizes and surprises too. Scorpion gave out a 2019 Ram 2500, just sayin’…
The sessions
Packed with real-life information, the sessions at SWE are a golden nugget for every home service business. This year, for example, we had the pleasure to hear Michael Gerber, the author of the book “The E-Myth” who talked about how small businesses can climb all the way from a company of one to a company of 1000.
What you’ve missed
We are sorry that you couldn’t come this year, we had some special deals waiting for you at the booth. But that’s ok, we are happy to see you around here, on our blog. So, if you have an account with FieldVibe, just write us an email by the end of this month (October 2019) at contact@fieldvibe.com and mention SWE2019 and we’ll make sure you receive the offer too. Talk to you soon!
